Our Team
Chris Combs joined Delta at its inception having previously developed a career in hospitality, management, marketing, consulting and loan workouts. His expertise in negotiations and problem solving has proven to be a valuable asset for clients. Chris has worked on projects involving the hospitality business, manufacturing, office and retail property, construction companies, automobile dealerships, warehouses, real estate and hotel development. One of his specialties is preparing advantageous finance agreements for clients.
Prior to Delta, Chris spent six years on the staff of Congressman Ronald Sarasin, working on economic development, education and immigration issues. In 1979, he joined Sperry Corporation (Unisys) at a defense plant in Waterbury, Connecticut, as Labor-Relations Supervisor, before becoming acting Human Relations Manager in 1984.
After Unisys, Chris ran the family business, The Inn on Lake Waramaug, a full-service country inn in Connecticut, which he subsequently sold to Baron Capital Group.
Chris received a BA from Washington College in Maryland. He lives in the Avon Connecticut area and has two adult children. Previously, he lived in Washington, CT, where he served on the Board of Education and as Chairman of the Planning Commission. He is the Treasurer of the Litchfield Hills Travel Council, a tourism promotion agency, and his hobbies include rowing, hockey and travel.
